2. What data we process
Data you provide
With the "Request information" form you give us your name, surname, address, street number, zip code, city and phone number and, if you wish, your e-mail address and a message. With the short contact form you give us your name, e-mail address and the text of your message. The same applies to the data you send us by e-mail or give us by phone. Please do not include in your message any data that is not needed for your request.
Browsing data
The IT systems that run the website collect, in their normal operation, some data whose transmission is implicit in the use of Internet protocols: IP address, date and time of the request, requested page, browser type and operating system. This data is used to ensure that the website works and is secure, and it is kept in the server logs for limited periods, according to the hosting provider's rotation procedures. The website does not use statistics or profiling tools.
Spam protection of the forms
To prevent automated submissions, the forms use technical checks that do not rely on external services (no reCAPTCHA). To limit the number of submissions, the IP address is stored only in encrypted, non-reversible form (hash) and automatically deleted within 24 hours. Blocked submission attempts are not recorded.
Cookies
The website uses a single technical cookie to remember your cookie choices. YouTube videos and the Google Maps map are loaded only with your consent. All the details are in the Cookie Policy.
3. Purposes and legal bases
- Answering your requests for information and, if you ask for it, arranging a visit by one of our consultants. Legal basis: steps taken at your request prior to entering into a contract, or performance of a contract to which you are a party (Art. 6.1.b GDPR).
- Complying with legal obligations, for example tax and accounting obligations, if your request leads to a purchase. Legal basis: legal obligation (Art. 6.1.c GDPR).
- Ensuring the security of the website and preventing abuse and spam. Legal basis: legitimate interest of the controller (Art. 6.1.f GDPR).
- Showing YouTube videos and the Google Maps map. Legal basis: your consent (Art. 6.1.a GDPR), which you can withdraw at any time.
Providing the data marked as required in the forms is optional, but without it we cannot answer your request. We do not carry out profiling or automated decision-making and we do not send promotional communications.
4. How data is processed and who receives it
Data is processed electronically with appropriate security measures. The following providers, who support us in the technical management, may have access to it as data processors:
- the provider of hosting, development and maintenance services for the website (Omnilink, www.omnilink.it);
- the provider of the e-mail service to which the messages are delivered;
- tax and accounting advisers, if your request leads to a purchase.
Data is not disclosed to the public or sold. It may be passed on to the competent authorities where required by law.
5. Transfers outside the European Union
The website and the form messages are managed on servers located in the European Union. If you consent to YouTube videos or the Google Maps map, Google LLC may process some data in the United States: in that case the transfer is based on the European Commission's adequacy decision (EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework) and on the safeguards offered by the provider.
6. Third-party websites and services
The website contains links to our pages on Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and Flickr and to the Italian website. When you click these links you leave our website: the processing of your data is then governed by the privacy notices of those services, which we invite you to read.
7. How long we keep data
- Requests for information that do not lead to a purchase: for the time needed to answer and in any case no longer than 24 months from the last contact.
- Data relating to purchases: for the period required by tax and civil law (up to 10 years).
- Hash of the IP address used by the spam protection: 24 hours at most.
- Cookie preferences: 6 months.
8. Your rights
At any time you can request access to your data, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing and data portability, and you can object to processing based on legitimate interest (Articles 15-22 GDPR). You can withdraw the consent given for YouTube and Google Maps through the "Cookie preferences" link at the bottom of every page, without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out before the withdrawal.
To exercise your rights write to info@novarteitalia.it. We will answer within 30 days.
If you believe that the processing infringes the GDPR you can lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority (www.garanteprivacy.it) or with the supervisory authority of the country where you live.
