ALESSANDRO ROMANO – BIOGRAPHY
Born in Rome on July 26, 1944. An artist of international renown, educated in the art workshop according to the glorious Italian tradition, after a debut in painting, expressed in figurative sculpture his talent, with results of extraordinary plastic and dynamic strength. In his work the mythological and religious are combined with the anxieties of modernity, creating a both classic shape and new, impressive for movement and measurement.
From jewelry to monumental sculptures, through fountains, portals, sketches and extraordinary designs, you have an opportunity to see a real, extraordinary “rhapsody of beauty.” In 1985, with three painters, Alessandro Romano founded the New Italian Manner, a cultural movement that recovers the figure, permeating it with such conceptual suggestions to recieve enormous interest in Italy, in Europe, in the United States, Russia.
